Joyous Planet Indoor Fun Program
Our programming is specially designed by child development experts to improve kid’s emotional, mental and physical skills. Each week, kids join us for a 45-minute class that is developmentally appropriate, fun and challenging.
Welcome circle & warm-up (5 mins)
– Greet children by name
– Fun movement song
– Light stretching or shake
Active play time (15 mins) – main playground
Animal Walks
- Animal walks; Bear walk: hands and feet on the floor, hips high
- Frog Jumps: Squat and leap forward
Mini Obstacle Course
- Crawl through tunnels
- Walk on balance beam (foam or tape)
- Walk through castle, climb a small mat
- Finish with a roll or jump
Creative Activity (10 mins)- party room
- Magnetic Tiles color sort
- Materials; magnetic tiles
- Play Doh: Tools & Textures
- Play doh, play doh tools
- Reading stories, Puzzles
- Balls in a box color sort
Group Game or learning activities (10 mins) – Playground
- Freeze Gymnastics game
- Play music – kids move like gymnasts (twirl, leap, balance)
- Pause music – kids freeze in a pose
- Parachute Play Cool-Down
- Lift and lower parachute together
- Sit under it and do gentle stretches
Snack & Goodbye circle (5 – 10 mins)
- Calm music or short story

- Talk to parents

WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY
I, the undersigned parent or legal guardian, understand that participation in the Joyous Planet After-School Program involves physical activities that may include running, jumping, tumbling, and climbing. These activities carry the risk of injury, including but not limited to scrapes, bruises, sprains, or more serious injuries. I acknowledge and accept all such risks voluntarily.
I certify that my child is physically fit to participate in the activities offered at Joyous Planet. In the event of an emergency, I authorize Joyous Planet staff to seek appropriate medical attention for my child. I understand that any medical costs incurred will be my responsibility.
By signing this waiver, I release and hold harmless Joyous Planet, its owners, employees, and agents from all liability for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property that may occur during or as a result of participation in the program.
I have read and fully understand this waiver and voluntarily agree to its terms.
